We hang bird feeders on the side of the carport. There's a strip of ground about 4' wide between the concrete and the fence and sunflower seeds from the feeder drop there and sunflowers pop up. I just let them grow. I like sunflowers, always have. Even bird seed sunflowers.

@BlueMan2 I have been having raccoon issues when it comes handing feeders out both seeded and water w/sugar. I left me no other choice but to take them down til Fall or Winter, Squirrels are ok but the Coons they leave a bigger mess. Here's two of the same one kneeding grass in my back yard, lol.
