Have any on-air personalities for a major sports network refused to shill for their sponsor whose business model is online gambling?

I'd imagine they enjoy far more privilege than we do and could comfortably "afford" to make that choice.

My employer uses Google products. I continue to miss meetings on a regular basis because "Calendar"...

I can't get it to give me meeting reminders consistently. I really miss Outlook. 🙁

Website privacy(.)com doesn't work without javascript enabled. I find this counterintuitive.

I don't get the opportunity to use a FULL OUTER JOIN in a query very often, but I found a good use case today.

There were 3 consecutive INSERT INTO ... SELECT queries. Each one joined to the same (huge) table: one with an INNER JOIN, one a LEFT JOIN, and another a RIGHT JOIN. I combined them into one FULL OUTER JOIN query, and reduced three expensive table scans to one.

Five new followers on the bird site in the last 24 hours? That's a much higher rate than normal.

I wonder what I did?

Someone on the bird site posted a long thread about micro services. They suggested 90% of businesses (especially small/medium sized ones) should forego micro services and stick with monoliths. I tend to agree.

WRT monoliths, many of us ignored best practices, willingly took on gobs of technical debt, and did a poor job of DevOps. I doubt micro services will "fix" any of that.
