@Cosmichomicide I once had a lady employer who opened up a location for their business in Dubai, and kept trying to get me to visit.
I kept telling her "I won't go to a country where I can be imprisoned or killed for being gay" (I didn't mention I am also Satan, which they wouldn't like if they knew either).
She kept insisting "But they won't do that to you, because we're bringing business".
"But I won't go to a country that _would_."
@Cosmichomicide She didn't seem to understand that I thought it was even worse that they might ignore my gayness for money, but persecute and torture and kill someone else.
Why no, I did not stay working there much longer.
