The brilliant part of this article is it shows you the mural early, yet keeps you wondering WTF the problem with the mural is. And then you go, "Seriously!?!"

How One Reaction to a Mural Tore a New England Town Apart https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/28/us/littleton-new-hampshire-mural.html
@Cosmichomicide Littleton is a nice town. It's a shame this is happening.
I guess I was expecting something more than the modern version of the Proctor & Gamble logo panic with a touch of backwards masking for flavor.
@Cosmichomicide I suspect the artwork is secondary. It sounds like the opening move in a power play. I have family there, so I've emailed them for more information.
@Cosmichomicide Apparently, if anything the article understates things. Gendreau sounds like quite a piece of work.
@Coctaanatis
I find this fascinating. I lived in one of those small towns where you would periodically get one of the holy rollers demanding that the town take down some sign or stop some play.
I find it fascinating that, while I remember those folks being ignored or given a "Bless Your Heart", they are now being taken seriously - or at least in positions where they kinda have to be.
