I have fond memories of Diwali as an inquisitive Welsh boy in a Hindu comminuty, in 80's Guyana: Euphoric music, lantern stars at night, beautiful people in colourful clothes, delicious food; festooned in powders. Alive.

In contrast: a breaf stay of fear and beatings at a Georgetown catholic school, before my Mother's intervention, then lifted back to Wales to endure dreary sermons delivered by monotone men in white frocks; shivering in damp mohogony echo chambers. Thus was my road to atheism.

Watched an episode of 'Enterprise' earlier on. It's been a long time (*groans*).

I liked watching the show at the time, but I utterly, utterly loathe everything about the theme tune. The end theme sounds like what they pipe-in during award acceptance speeches to hint that's its time to shut up and bugger off.

Lovely weather in Swansea. Concluding my 10 days off with a weekend stay at Clyne Castle - our family apartment.

Gentle reminder this Mental Health Day that being ill-adjusted to late stage climate death capitalism is in fact a sign that something in you is still invested in your survival. Your body/mind knows the system is wrong and it's not going down without ringing all the alarms first.

Also, living in a ship that's on fire with all its alarms going off at once, while everyone tells you the fire and alarms are your fault, sucks. I see you, shipmate.

Please check out @HoldOnSongs for music to fight the darkness.

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened."

-- 'The Book' from The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Remember: illness isn't always overt; some people look bright on the outside but are in darkness on the inside.

It's not always the 'end of the world stuff' that causes it, either; a little chip here, a little chip there widens the cracks. Everything is subjective.

You're not expected to be psychic, but please do try to be mindful.

It's World Mental Health Day.

I have type 1 diabetes, tinnitus, TMJ syndrome. It's tiring to also have to be a functional human. I have anxiety and depression; cycles of dark disturbing thoughts/scenarios.

I manage best I can: talk, rest, made health decisions over career decisions; avoid negative social media, people, subjects.

The 'black dog' strikes eventually, when least expected - and not just on a bad day/week.

It's OK not to be OK! 💙

£995 for *another* timing belt, plus MOT is booked for this week, which I'm expecting to need new tyres, pads, and a stiff drink....

Nah, mate, I'm not going anywhere near Prime Day. 😜

My dad has several fish tanks. This little dude was my favourite, but he died today.

PlayStation 3 stuck in an update loop. Googled the error code and only fix is disassembly; fuck that for a laugh. 🤬

I love how Ahsoka dips into the Clone Wars lore as well as Rebels. Despite being animation, which turns some people off, Clone Wars is among the best of Star Wars.
