Discogs is awesome. The other day I had a 'probably no chance' browse for an obscure trance/dance compilation album that I and a dearly departed friend used to listen to in the 90s called 'The 5th Chapter'.

I was never good in classroom environments. I was bullied and beaten in a Guyana catholic school. My default, even today, is to wall-up, switch-off; go blank.

I'm on the most soul destroying course this week. Tutor guy has an abrupt, shouty voice, reminds me of being in school; he's even singling people out with questions, critical of answers. It's disjointed and confusing.

It's got me reverting to default and it angers me, except now I'm a fucking grownup and a Sith lord in snark and sarcasm.

I love the sound and isolation of the Etymotic ER-4 in-ear monitors, but they are not the type of IEMs you can quickly pull-out and re-insert; you've got to penetrate the orifice really deeply.

I'm cautiously looking forward to the Picard season three TNG reunion.

I've been moderately 'meh' about the show, up-to-now. The second season was admittedly more enjoyable than the first (really good casting choices) but it's still my lease favourite of the newer Trek shows - I've never been a lover of time travel episodes.

Those TNG characters are precious legends and I really hope they stick the landing with the send-off.
