@MeTheUnfiltered It's possible that it's been transmitting in real-time, so they already have all the data. I'd want it retrieved intact, if possible, to see what makes it tick. It's not exactly subtle or covert for spying, which is what's so bizarre about the whole thing.

@kbsez I might just do that; been some time since I last watched it - and not in HD. I did buy Forbidden Planet on Blu-ray a while back, and wow!

@kbsez There's something about the look of those 70's - early 80's science fiction films, more so because of their being remastered in 1080p - the colours pop. I have a loathing of the unsightly orange and teal colour grading and lens fair that's smeared over some movie and TV these days (curse you Michael Bay and JJ Abrams). 😅
