I made a big bowl of Amish Macaroni salad yesterday. I might make some mac and cheese today.

Pecans were on sale at the store, so I might make some more pumpkin bread with pecans! It's a good quick bread, but it needed a little something. Pecans!

Hey girlie ☕️. Contemplating Bacon Fest across the bridge in Easton while waiting for French Press to soak.

Locals say it’s the best festival of the year. But 20’ van & parking a nightmare, buying crap I don’t need, anxiety of huge crowds, I’ll probably make my own bacon this year.

What I sometimes do is go to fresh tree lot & ask for branches they’ve removed. I trim to fit large vase & decorate.

Kills me to see beautiful living trees killed for 2 weeks of amusement. I abhor plastic trees.

@CinnamonGirlE it wasn't until I retired that I was tested for sleep apnia. So at age 65 I started using a CPAP. I ain't getting up early to drive slow on the turnpike anymore! I'm thankful.

All I need is red amaryllis to finish my holiday plan (easiest to find).

Mid-November bulbs go in the planting medium for holiday display.

I love this process. Amaryllis in lieu of killing a tree. Plastic tree is also not an option.

@CinnamonGirlE when I was working and much younger, I used to think there was some secret society of retired people that were colluding to make me late for work during my 50 minute commute. Like they got up at 6AM just to piss me off. Now that I'm one of them oldsters, I realize that was some real nonsense and paranoia is a bad thing.
