When I was in nursing school the first time, many moons ago, I had a favorite instructor. She was a black woman who I admired with all my heart. One of the best no nonsense people I have ever met. She was tough, and I wanted to make her proud of me. She inspired that.
Kamala will be facing a lot of bigotry, racism, and patriarchy. She is tough though. She is inspiring me in the same way. 🌹🇺🇸

@CinnamonGirlE I am so thrilled, because I see the happiness in my daughters.😄

It's like a breath of fresh air has blown in, there is hope again.

@CinnamonGirlE
Since Obama was also half Black, it's weird that racist comment would be coming back.

The nursing instructor I mentioned used to have to pack her lunch and eat outside when she first became a nurse. She wasn't allowed in the cafeteria. I remember the fury that swept through me when I heard someone had done that to this fabulous woman because of the color of her skin. 😡
I have zero time for that crap.
