We're pretty sure I had a seizure in my sleep again. All the symptoms are there. My seizures are non-epileptic, and having one makes me afraid for a while...which increases the chances of having another one.

So I guess the next step would be for McQ to ask to be approved of as Speaker on a plurality; and when that doesn't work, ask to be approved as Speaker by acclamation; and when that doesn't work, to run up to the podium and try to wrest the gavel out of the House Clerk's hands crying "It's mine, I paid for it, you can't have it!" before collapsing in a sobbing fit.

House GQPers be like —

“Can we ‘find’ a ‘new’ birth certificate?”

And the original dynast herself.

Do yourself a favor and go down the Rosetta Tharpe rabbit hole someday.

I think it's funny that someone on Mastodon said they noticed that I haven't posted in 4 hours and asked if I was ok. A little weird to be asked that. I answered only because it was funny af.

Congressman George Santos will be seated today.

We all know this guy is a fraud.

Everything about Santos is a lie.
He can't be trusted. You can't trust a single word out of his mouth. Not one.

...and as it turns out there's no mechanism for doing anything about it.

We KNOW he's a fraud, but we're going to let him run our government anyway.

Americans just kind of shrug, welp, what you gonna do, amiright?

And if that ain't just a goddamn metaphor for America, I don't know what is.

Maybe I’m just crabby this morning but I don’t give a fig about the GOP or the House nonsense. Let them continue to fight amongst themselves. Reap. Sow. I’d rather they be in chaos and accomplish nothing for two years than have them passing ridiculous legislation that hurts people.

This game needs to go. So vile, for so many reasons. And kids see this shït. Like yes, they have clothes on, but you know what it’s supposed to symbolize. Every ad the husband is cheating with the friend and the one girl isn’t pretty enough and has to be made over. Shit like this triggered my eating disorder when I was younger.

I lived St Croix for 7 yrs. The corruption, nepotism, cronyism and incompetence in the VI government was unimaginable.

I gave up my stateside voter registration in order to vote in the USVI. In doing so, lost the opportunity to vote for Obama. Both terms.

The decision by Governor Albert Bryan to fire the A.G. came just days after Bloomberg News revealed that Ms. George in her capacity as V.I. attorney general had filed a lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase — the largest bank in the United States and the world's largest bank by market capitalization — without first informing Governor Bryan of such a major action, said a person with knowledge of the matter.

Denise George, who served as V.I. attorney general for four years during the Bryan administration's first term, was terminated on Dec. 31, 2022, the Consortium has learned.
