On the plus side, my kids are both older and excited to go on an adventure, so at least that's not a worry. It's the logistics of moving, finding a place to live, hoping my job lets me stay remote long enough to find a new job, and hoping I sell my house fast enough before the market crashes that's getting me.
It'll all be worth it in the end, but there will be damage to heal.
Families with trans youth are fleeing their homes in red states and becoming political refugees inside the US. I have a little more time than my Texas counterparts to get my family out of Florida, but it's been hard trying to explain the urgency and trauma of uprooting your life to friends and co-workers who just don't get it.

I'm trying to figure out approximately how many patients we would see with a schedule tweak, accounting for no shows and providers calling out sick/taking vacations.
I think I've got it, but pretty sure I've damaged some neurons in the process. In case anyone was wondering what working on the analytics side of healthcare is like.

My 18 year old decided to make some salt dough Christmas ornaments for family. I wasn't sure where he was going with these when he pulled out the star shaped cookie cutter and put ball shapes in the middle, but I frickin love the end result.
I've reached the "why don't we just toss the entire contents of the house in the dumpster and call it a day" stage of packing up to move
