Four debut albums (I include Infinity as a debut as it relaunched Journey with new singer Steve Perry). Each is about as perfect and cohesive as an album can be.
So ya’ use a Forstner bit to establish inside curves for your semi-hollow bass guitar wings before sawing to create the inside of the sides. And you inhale some African mahogany smoke so wherever you go, you take the project with you.
A couple of years ago our beloved willow tree started falling; some rot at its base a couple feet above ground level. I propped it up for a controlled crash rather than chance it crashing the fence. Yet it survived and is sprouting new limbs. Nature finds a way.
Perhaps a metaphor?

Bass project rosewood top joined. Yeah, really really made the seam tight! The darker pic is alcohol on the wood to see if there were any gaps.
This album was a hand me down I love to this day. It is deservedly name checked among Rock guitarist and oh, hey, that’s Sammy Hagar.
#20Days20Albums I’m late to the party, here’s one that was in heavy rotation for me for a time.
As it turns out the whole album, per Eddie Kramer, is almost completely re-recorded in the studio. The audio smoking gun is the oddly different delays & reverbs for the instruments and vocals.
Despite the cheese of being a KISS album I can still listen to most tracks with my ears and not my eyes.
