China Discovers New Lethal Feline Coronavirus (FCoV HL2019) with Potential to Spread to Humans

Scientists from Shanghai and Beijing found a new Type 1 feline coronavirus, similar to human strains, causing deadly FIP in cats.

A new feline coronavirus HL2019 was found in Anhui China, causing fatal FIP in 9-12 month-old cats with symptoms like weight loss, fever, and loss of appetite.

I've tried to track this done, and can't find any source for it except for a post on X (no sources)

The closest thing I found was a Cornel Vet Study that proves feline coronavirus can transfer between domestic & wild cats.

No transfer to humans.

@QueenOfEverything @CanisPundit the picture that was with this article I didnā€™t want to share it was horrible looking at the results of that. It was too much for me. And Iā€™m a dog person so yeah

@LordsofHardwired @CanisPundit

Yes, I saw it on X- it appears to be a fake. I donā€™t understand what causes people to create these posts. The false information is bad enough - for pet lovers like us- but to post those kinds of photos are really warped.
