Long ago, in an America seemingly far away there was Storyville - Good Day For The Blues

Tone & soul!
@bmacmixer Tommy Shannon is the connecting tissue between those two groups.

@CanisPundit And Chris on drums.
@bmacmixer I did not know that. I like and Double Trouble.
@CanisPundit I did the live mix for the Arc Angels the night they recorded their DVD at Stubb’s. Their manager hired me a few times to mix their shows. Always quality performances.
@bmacmixer sweet gig! I saw SRV live twice, once up close and personal. He and the band were perfect while retaining some rawness in feel.
@CanisPundit I just got goosebumps. I regret I never saw him live. I got to Austin too late.
@CanisPundit Love this clip of the guitar change out. It’s like they practiced it.
@bmacmixer 😁😀👍 I’m sure it wasn’t the first time. Great clip. This song gave me the chills during the performance I saw: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sUeZb7Kj6G8&pp=ygUoc3RldmllIHJheSB2YXVnaGFuIGxpZmUgd2l0aG91dCB5b3UgbGl2ZQ%3D%3D
@CanisPundit Rewatching this. Doyle was a heroin addict at this point but cleaned up thankfully. He went on to tour with Roger Waters and Charlie Sexton plays with Bob Dylan.
@bmacmixer damn intersection of unmet psychiatric needs and street drugs- self medicating. Too many talented people lost. Dunno if that’s the case but …
@CanisPundit Doyle took guitar lessons from SRV. He went off the deep end a bit when Stevie died. But he is doing great now and has been for a very long time. He’s on one of Roger Waters live albums. He has a bunch of great solo albums too.
@CanisPundit His early rock stuff was very Stevie / Jimi … this is about 23 years old now.

@CanisPundit He plays left handed upside down. Low strings are on the bottom. It’s crazy.
I miss them and the Arc Angels.
