Watching the IKEA delivery move towards our house on the interactive map thingy is oddly soothing.

Honestly, new windows (which I guess we're inching towards) would make a massive difference.

If I had heaps of cash, I'm not sure I'd move, but I'm 100% sure I would have our basement dug out and finished. I would also get more insulation and some sound proofing put in.

This thaw has allowed us to tarp all the terrasse stuff. So we’re 90% ready for the snow now (I still have to clean up the veggie patch).

So I'm having the following thought: do I want to go grocery shopping tonight, even though it's gross out or do I want to go tomorrow, but then I'm trapped waiting for the delivery.. so yeah I guess I've answered my question.

@ChristopherNoyesRoberts I mean, the fence has survived one winter being chucked on the ground by the stupid construction muppets.. so another week or so should be ok.

Just got back from Mastodon. Some nazi accounts are playing excerpts of the recording of the Christchurch killer's mid-rampage live stream. This is, beyond the moral/why are you letting fash take over stuff, illegal in many countries. Not the least of which is Aotearoa itself. While I miss my buddies over there, I really am having a hard time missing the place itself.

@GlennS It's for holding a piece of 2X4 to a fence so it remains in one piece. Hush you. Plus that would cause abrasions and cuts.
