One *very* noisy version of a public servants' demonstration today, by the park where I run. Drivers bedeck their vehicles with religious paraphernalia and party streamers and balloons to make it easier for others to see they're blocking the streets for a reason. However, those same dressings are also used for wedding and funeral processions, so context helps a lot.

It's the Day of the Virgin of Carmen, patron saint of drivers. All sorts of public servants are out: taxi drivers, military, waste management, truckers. The in me ever-marvels at all the ways we (sometimes!) choose to use our shared vocabularies to uplift each other.
