Santos is set to be arraigned Friday on a new indictment accusing him of several frauds, including making tens of thousands of dollars in unauthorized charges on credit cards belonging campaign donors. He was scheduled to appear in a Long Island court to enter a plea. He's already pleaded not guilty to charges filed in May.
His convicted former campaign treasurer, Nancy Marks, admitted in court she helped Santos trick Republican party officials with fake documents.

Because If he were to be recalled, Dem Gov can then appoint a Dem Rep in his place, bringing Repub majority down to 3. If he's expelled then NYS Board of Elections has to set up a special election to get a new Rep.
