Having an "I Voted" sticker means no more political ads on my TV or flyers in my mailbox, right? Umm... RIGHT?!?

Depends. Some states are digitally plugged in the local board of ekections and when they see you have voted they remove you from the mail and contact list. Both parties in NYC do that.
