This is the 1st hurricane season I sit out. Im older and slower, with feet & knees (from martial arts training) that are not spry or nimble. This work requires lightning fast responses and the ability to only have 4 -5 hr sleep for weeks on end and still be quick, so the least I can do is access the tools i still have passwords for and provide info here.
Tomorrow morning I will post the updates for storm surge.
Trey, in my personal experience ... the combo of rising flood water and predicted winds by 11pm tomorrow will be approx 60mph and it will be too dangerous for ppl to evacuate. So if they leave, the earlier the better.
My friend's dad in Sarasota has evacuated farther inland and is preparing for them to move him to GA. Lifetime Floridian (he's 97), stayed for Helene, lives in one of those fortress senior highrises.
Milton just doesn't feel like he's gonna fade. 🌀
So glad he left and glad he's in the State's radar.
He notified the staff of where he was going. My friend's brother is headed down to pick him up for the longer trip to GA.
We're super relieved, especially after our Helene vacation in Asheville. 🫠
So glad to hear that.
Thanks for this. Very useful
Again, my jaded FL peeps in Pasco are “crossing fingers” and “watching and waiting.” Didn’t hear from my peeps In Hillsborough. HS bud in St. Pete (Pinellas) sent his fam to Pompano.
