Ok I know it’s people, but frankly

I don’t care. This is such a non issue for me in the grand scheme of things.

A pandemic killed millions, there are homeless people in need of help. Fuck being trans is illegal in a bunch of red states.

Opioid epidemic
Abortion rights
People living paycheck to paycheck

There are bigger issues than a bunch of rich people who overpaid for a coffin.

@BlastBunny
You should care.
If you are any sort of caring human you know there are families and loved ones struggling in not only this situation but others. You can't selectively care about people. You either do or you don't.

We don't behave with such callous here on CoSo. There are lots of sites that accept that behaviour.

Directly addressing this with you is the only solution to stopping these type of posts.

Thanks,

@Anemone

I’m not denying this, just saying that it’s been plastered all over the news for 3 days now

Non stop

And there’s been little to no coverage about the Native American lady who was killed by a white supremacist

Or the trans folks who are fleeing whole swaths of the us because of bigotry

Or the fact a majority of Americans are one paycheck away from poverty

This panic and coverage is ridiculous in comparison

@BlastBunny
If you are ever in a situation where the odds are supremely against your survival.....I will still try my damnest to save you.
Having said that, why wasn't it tRump, DeSatan, Abbott, Cornyn, Jared and a host of other people bend on the destruction of humanity, in that deep water sub?
Then I might agree with you....

@FoxFire

I mean sure, but are you going to plaster it all over the news non stop for 3 days?

@BlastBunny
True that, but then, have you seen how many people on this site repeat the same thing?
Sadly, I'm pretty sure the tune will change, since their must have now diminished.....

@FoxFire

It just really bugs me how they milk tragedy for clicks but completely avoid real issues because it’s not as compelling.

I remember when that Malaysian plane went missing and it was on the news, every 10 mins, for 3 months.

I’m just so over it

@BlastBunny I hear ya. "Dirty Laundry" always gets the front page.....

@BlastBunny How many $100,000 dollars are being spent to find a rescue 5 people who got in a shoddy vessel to joy ride, while far more refugees are drowning every week. It's not that I wish harm on these idiots, or suffering on their families, but I'm wondering where that same sort of empathy is for folks who didn't volunteer to take that risk, and were instead trying to flee death squads, starvation and persecution?
