Flashback Friday: Played on USS Iowa Battleship with 2Hot2Handle UFO tribute opening for the Babys a few years ago in Cali. They let us run around the ship in places usually closed to the public, was super cool to play with snipers guarding us from above :)

While fishing in the Rio Grand Saturday, I saw otters playing in the water and a Blackhawk in the sky:

My Great Grandfather, Moses Reuven Rogov, left persecution of Russia where he was born to come to the USA. My late half brother came to the USA with his father and my mother as refugees. His father had numbers tattooed and was jailed for being a Jew. My mother would not spare details of the horrors of WWII and as a result I'd have nightmares of bombers heading my way. The 67 riots of Detroit gave me a taste of wartime with snipers, tanks and millitia in front of my home with curfews.

RIP my only brother...Gordon Guttmann. Sailor, Tai Chi master, Luthier, speaker of arabic, chinese and german languages. Chess fanatic. Married 4x. Hitchhiked from Detroit to San Francisco 3 times. Walked on his hands up and down the block. Could touch his chin to his toe without bending his leg.

I decided not to get into "elk-hunting shape" just months before a hunt but rather stay that way year-round. So much easier to do 10 miles @ 10500 altitude now :)
