With regard to the pager incident, I am anxious yet concerned to hear answers to the underlying questions here.
From a recent source, it is unclear if the incident is similar to 'standard' battery thermal runaway.
If it's a supply-chain type of incident, the next few days should prove to be very interesting.
Aaaand it has been shown now that it was, in fact, a supply-chain type of incident.
Amazing.
So many questions, the biggest one (for me anyway) is: when were these devices manufactured and modded?

Check NPR Morning Edition, the pagers were made by a Twainese company that used a contractor manufacturer in Budapest. Super spy stuff.
