I’ve read over tourism is becoming a major problem in so many popular European cities: Barcelona, Amsterdam, Venice, and Santorini topping the list. These places are going to limit cruise ships and institute tourist taxes in an effort to quiet things down. The residents are hitting their emotional limits.
Makes me think that if I am lucky enough to take a European vacation in the next few years, I’ll be going off season.
I always go to Europe in off season as I cannot stand crowds. Paris in the 1st week of April was still way too crowded for me.
It’s the best idea! One of my favorite vacations was Rome at the end of January and beginning of February. No tourists,no lines to the Vatican museum, and locals who were in a much better head space 😊
I love winter, so it is my time to take vacations. Iceland is so beautiful that it was still crowded in the middle winter.

I have been to Spain twice, but only to Madrid.
Work once to sent me to Prague in the summer. It was way too crowded.

That’s gorgeous! Iceland is high on my bucket list. I have a bucket list I may never make but here’s my list of desired vacations:
