@Bix and leave it on!
One of the best versions.
I am no expert on The Dead, but this is the best version. Long life Pigpen.
my 2nd G Dead purchase in '71 and spun right to death...
plus we, along with most every band, did this song in various variations
@tgraph52
Long life Pigpen.
@Bix
I never saw him live...
He was sick the first show and it was Keith Godchaux's first night
Then he was sick the 2nd show
and then he had passed away...
It is pretty amazing how good SF music was in the late 60's when you add in Quicksilver Messenger Service, Moby Grape, Airplane, Big Brother & the Holding Company, Blue Cheer, and Sly and the Family Stone.
that was the style I fell into whole heartedly back then
I was in a foursome that did the school dance decorations from 9th grade on...We couldn't play music but wanted to be part of 'the scene'. By the spring dance senior year, 1970, we had a full blown SF light show going that was so fun to do and looked amazing. Floor to ceiling, wall to wall mylar screen across the gym... shit projecting from front and back.. It was wild. I can say now... there were serious drugs involved that night.
@Bix This is why is it a mistake to invite him to such a platform. They will spin it to give him credibility.
I laugh at Trump, too. Not with him, though. Just at him.
He's funny weird and a whole bunch of other nasty and repugnant things too.
