That makes a difference on the margins. It doesn't account, however, for what so far seems like about 12 million less Democratic-leaning and about 4 million less Republican-leaning voters voting.

If theelection had been closer, it might have made the difference, But there was a massive turnout problem.

@Avidspark A lot of us tried to warn that people were being excluded from voting, prevented from voting, gerrymandered, thrown off rolls, and convinced that voting doesn't matter.

But the polls! The polls said not to worry! Billionnaires donated to their campaign! That's good, right?

To me, it feels like all the stuff some of us warned people about happened, and they're now folks are going "Wow, that's weird, I wonder what happened".

It doesn't make me feel confident I can do any good.

It's not identity politics to admit that the folks who voted for Trump are either willfully ignorant or just plain evil.

Yep, their methods are tried and true.

Trump was yelling the election was rigged BEFORE the vote Tuesday. Now, he’s gonna record LESS votes than 2020 & he’s not screaming it’s rigged.

I know that FACTUAL inconsistency will be lost on low info people, but it will go into the underground history books about the rise of fascism in America.
