Small personal disappointment today. Woke up still "ugly coughing" from this crud. Canceled my volunteer shift at the St. Jude Run / Walk event today. I'm probably going to be just fine in a few hours, but it's not worth the risk.

I have a feeling this is going to be the last day of this crud. Breathing is better this morning, but my body feels like I've been run over by a truck. This is my usual state at the end of something like this. Not fun, but hopeful. Should be fully good to go volunteering at the St. Jude Run / Walk tomorrow.

Travel crud sucks. It's clearly not COVID (2 different tests on different days). But still, I haven't had a cold / crud like this in over 2 years because of masking and taking precautions. My best guess is I caught this on my travel home.

Glad for the ability to do my job from home in these situations. There's no way I'm exposing coworkers to anything if I can help it.

Missed the debate due to a very important appointment with my bed. Looks like I missed exactly what I figured would happen. The commentary here is probably a better digest than trying to look elsewhere.

Nothing will make me despise a candidate more than seeing mail spam on an almost daily basis. Actual printed garbage in my mailbox. As if I don't despise his lying GOP ass already.

If you're not doing any fact checking...
If you're not going to call out obvious lies...
If you're going to let someone just prattle on with whatever nonsense they chose...

THEN YOU ARE NOT A MODERATOR.

First day back to work after a really nice vacation. Sure, there are things on my plate to get done. One is mostly done, one is waiting for a user response, and one needs the user to be online so I can see what is going on and give them specific instructions.

And my inbox was UNDER 400 items, so that wasn't horrible either. I could actually enjoy vacation and not come back to everything blown up? INCONCEIVABLE!

Wow, must have been :trollsplat: while I was reporting. Gotta love it.

Boarded for my last leg home. It's been an amazing vacation, but I'm ready to be in my own bed and to pet my cat.

President Biden had already put in place the Federal side of FEMA response to the storm BEFORE it made landfall. Any delays or lack of actual help at that point falls entirely on the state leadership who has to actively request it.

So in short, the "yes" response would be immediate and automatic to every single state affected by this hurricane as soon as the Governor asked. IMMEDIATE. Remember this when voting. Who looks out and prepares.

Bullets are the beauty and I don't know why.
