years ago, while i was in the military (not the greatest way to see the beauty of a country) i got to spend some time in Thailand. I wish I remember the name of the area we were in but it was probably Pattaya. I had the oppty to go out and see some of the area while we were there-it was gorgeous. The Thai ppl were incredibly welcoming, and the most friendly ppl I have ever encountered.

You don’t connect with the culture, the people, or fellow travelers the same. You have to get lost. The you can find what’s important. That’s my motto, anyway.

I hear American style burger and rib places are the hot trend right now in Korea. I'd love to see how that's going.
When I was in T-Land Korean BBQ was hot. And Saturday nights, there would be huge lines of Thai outside the popular Korean BBQ places. Of course I had to try.
In a foreign country ALWAYS look for the places where the locals are mobbing up for grub.
