With Richard Sherman's passing I'd like to remind you that the Songwriting team of Sherman and Serman, in addition to everything else they did - including writing the greatest earworm in history - also wrote this, which was a top 10 hit TWICE, in different decades.

Ooh boy, this is good!
I actually saw Joe Piscipo perform, in 1989.
I was an usher at Comic Relief III. I didn't work for the theater in question where the event was held, but I did work in Cable Television and volunteered my time.
Piscipo did a reasonably good impression of Bruce Springsteen. He got through a couple of numbers (I yawned) and then ad-libbed, "How does Sprinsgteen do this EVERY NIGHT?"
That's really all I remember of his appearance. That and him dunking his head in a bucket.
It's all he ever was.

Jean-Luc Ponty's out-of-print album "Life Enigma" is now finally available for streaming! It was the first album he released on his own label.
The link below is for Spotify but it's available anywhere.
It's pretty good in my opinion. It still has some of the excesses of his "computer age" music, but there's some real jazz fusion there as well, and Ponty is still one of the pioneers of jazz violin.
If you like this sort of thing, you should check it out.
