(I didn't know about Ani DiFranco, but I knew the rest)
@NorthernInvader Autotune can be used to decent effect. The backing vocals on Lenny Kravitz's "Get Away" are autotuned, and they work.
But it needs to be used with great restraint. It's become a crutch for people who don't want to do a second take.
Am I mis-remembering things or can Katy Perry actually sing? I seem to recall that she can actually sing, and sing well.
Been working my way through her new album, and aside from it being, well, dull for the most part, she is auto-tuned on nealy every note.
This may be a production choice, but I am of the very strong opinion that singers should sing.
I'm only a decent singer but I've never used auto-tune, and never will.
@jurban nice! I love a good old fashioned patch bay.
There is not, and never has been, a station called KBSF in the San Francisco Bay Area.
There was a Low Power radio station with those call letters in Portland, owned by Slavic Community Center of NW, Inc.
They were hit with a written warning by the FCC in March 2019. I do not know if they still exist.
The story supposedly attributed to them about VP Harris is a LIE.
It's a Goddamned LIE.
He'd be in a "home" upstate.

I've been listening to the album "The Bound and the Infinite" by Thirteen Senses, which will be featured on The Album Show tomorrow on Radio Free California (the streaming radio station) and suddenly realized that the album is designed to be played in a loop!
The album ends on the same chord that it starts on, so that you could cue the first track to start exactly at the end of the last track and it would be seamless. You wouldn't even notice the transition.
Very cool.
