True story...
In late May of 1957, news had come that my Uncle Bill, the man who married my namesake & Aunt Ruth, had passed away in Anderson Indiana. My parents, who were somewhat delusional about my intelligence, decided to join my cousins, George, Betty, & Danny Lee on a road trip from Los Angeles, California to attend George's father's funeral, taking me out of the 4th grade 2 weeks before the end of the semester.
