Gotta love how all the examples of "amazing" AI art people are posting on social media looks so plain and uninspired.

All the AI did was just take an existing photo and put through a bunch of Photoshop filters to make it look hand drawn.

@DarksideStraxus It is non-stop pilfering of real artists' signature style, and copyright violations. Otherwise, it's a complete mess. I can't see how it's going to play out, but there should be a class action suit for IP theft somewhere in the pipeline.

@AmaryllisLanza @DarksideStraxus I think there's some room to review the lines regarding image acquisition for AI training, especially in terms of security and facial identification. Just like there was an urgent need for that before AI, when big data companies started using them for much worse things than making synthetic images.

But the leaps in logic being made to accuse AI of "infringing copyright" are mostly not accurate, including the OP here.
