At the top right of that column is an icon with three short horizontal lines. Click on it to show the button to "Pin" the column as a permanent column. (You can also pin and unpin it without having to re-create it from scratch.)
In the new pinned column, you can click the three-line icon again to expose a slide button. That opens entry boxes to add additional hashtags, so the hashtags for a particular topic can be together.

Use the "Search" box located above the post composing window to see which hashtags people are using most, to try to help standards develop. (Click on each result to see posts; the number listed only refers to the most recent days' posts.)
To create a pinned post, click on a hashtag, either in your search results on in any post. A new column will open with posts using that hashtag.

I often felt that I used Twitter “wrong”. I sort of used it like Instagram, as I mostly have used it to share photographs and drawings. That said, there was something about being able to connect with people in conversation along with the photos and art that held meaning to me. Hoping to prospectively find that here. In that vein, here’s a photo from tonight’s sunset. #Introductions #CoSoPhotography #Sunset
Finally home and settled in. Still sick. But not sick enough to be inpatient. RSV sucks. Protect ya neck my friends.
Gadget is on my lap and hasn't stopped burrowing into my chest. Seems like he missed me.
Thanks to the Nauts for the support.
Here's an edgy #memefarm for the maximum effort
I first started following Kathy Kattenburg on Twitter after she showed kindness to me following an article about my sex abuse in the Washington Post, at a time when many of my supposedly like-minded conservatives had not. It seemed like a minor example of cross-the-aisle political civility. But it soon revealed itself to be a lesson in how elusive civility can be these days, especially online, in an age when we’re often told (or telling others) that we need more of it.
