The Catholic Church has been so single issue on abortion, at least since the death of Bernardine, that they've essentially been endorsing Republicans. By equating treatment of migrants to abortion, he's pulled the rug out from the Republicans.
Mines all scratched up, it's gotten lots of use, and like I said, it was literally abandoned in a slum student apartment when I moved in.
