Pretty sickening how the the Pro-Hamas crowd are exploiting Aaron Bushnell's death. There's nothing heroic about setting yourself on fire. Self-immolation isn't an act of courage, it's a tragedy. It's a cautionary tale of what happens when someone's mind gets extremely warped by a bullshit agenda. Self-immolation isn't going to "Free Palestine." Glorifying someone's suicide is absolutely reprehensible. Meghan McCain is absolutely right; this is indeed a death cult.

Norman Morrison got a lot of press when he did it, but the Vietnam War went on for years afterward.
If anything, a suicide like that might make people in power hesitant to do anything that might look like granting concessions in response to the death. You wouldn't want people to decide they could score a win for their cause if they died spectacularly enough.
