Considering leaving Twitter...

The biggest adjustment that most people have to make here is realising that there is no void to throw thoughts, art, ideas, music, scream into here... its a conversation, a community ❤️

Just two more things to grade, and I’m finished for the summer. Summer break: when I only have to work one essential job, not two. I’ll miss the students. I do every year.

Thanks for supporting the site, and we're happy to have new users, but everyone needs to understand that this isn't Twitter, and they're not going to be able to import Twitter behavior here.

They need to especially understand that cheering on Twitter about thinking they'd crashed the site WE PAY FOR is NEVER going to fly with ANYONE here.

Had an interesting talk with the folks at the Ombudsman's Office of Ontario re my complaint against school boards on behalf of children with disabilities who are being denied a safe and equal education because of the removal of masks and other Covid protections. Has anyone else gone through this process with the Ombudsman's Office?

Folks. Please be yourself here. A lot of you are new kids on the block and we sure do understand the hesitation and questions about etiquette and sharing and boosting and all the technical stuff.

Just relax, push buttons, click posts, engage, laugh and enjoy this great place. If on the off chance you do something “wrong” who cares? If it’s necessary, one of us will speak up to help or correct or give you a heads up.
