Society tells us to oversell ourselves, pad our résumés, be cocky and overconfident, overestimate our net worth, talk over people about things we know nothing about, demand attention--and to expect to be rewarded for all that.

Is it any wonder that we keep on getting taken by pompous, overinflated hucksters who have a narcissistic opinion of themselves out of all proportion to the reality?

Despite the intense propaganda to blame Covid on the Chinese (and somehow, through a completely inexplicable transitivity of guilt, on the US CDC), there actually isn't the slightest bit of evidence to show that Covid came "from a lab" rather than evolving naturally in wild animals and being transmitted to humans.

But it's also bizarre that people think that tracing the origin of Covid gets them out of common-sense public health practices.

This made my wife and me guffaw, so we want everyone to guffaw. There is need for more guffawing.

So why aren't all those Bitcoin Bros who have nominal millions in their wallets buying up Tesla stock at its low, low prices?
