I got an undergrad degree in physics.
But then took a summer off, during that time I was offered an apprenticeship.

My advise to any young person is join a trade. The future is in infrastructure.

When I joined the union, as an apprentice, I made $10.00 an hour. The US federal minimum wage was $1.60. This was in 1972. In two years, when I got a journeyman card that went up to $24.00 Federal minimum wage went up to $2.05 in 1974

I made 10 times what a post-doc was making.

Between the overwhelmingly positive response to the TNG reunion in Picard and Paramount+ slowly pivoting to films over multi-year series, there's literally not a single excuse for not bringing these guys back.
