One of those "good news, bad news" types of days today.

Boss: "I have good news for you: you're not being laid off."

Me: "Great. Wait... what?"

Boss: "Oh yeah, we're selling the radio station you're on."

So, based on the time it takes for these things to work through, I'll keep doing my current morning show for about a month or so and then move over to one of the other stations in the building (they haven't decided yet).

No one ever said the entertainment business was stable.

I've been hosting my current show for almost six years. I'm going to miss it. I love the format (classic hits), and really enjoyed making lots of friends with listeners.

That said, after 36 years in radio, this is far from my first rodeo and first station sale / format change. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
